Be prepared to support those around you by getting certified in Mental Health First Aid. Mental Health First Aid teaches the skills needed to recognize and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges, as well as how to provide someone with initial support until they are connected with appropriate professional help. In the course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies to help someone in both crisis and noncrisis situations, and where to turn for help. Topics covered, depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, psychosis, and substance abuse disorders.

Be prepared to support those around you by getting certified in Mental Health First Aid. Mental Health First Aid teaches the skills needed to recognize and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges, as well as how to provide someone with initial support until they are connected with appropriate professional help. In the course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies to help someone in both crisis and noncrisis situations, and where to turn for help. Topics include:, depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, psychosis, and substance abuse disorders.

Prior to the class 2-hours of pre course work is required to be completed. After registration you will be sent instructions on how to complete your pre work assignment.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion for this course.

Instructors: Regina Bond and Tracee Blackfall

Regina Bond, founder of ORB Consulting, LLC specializes in delivering impactful workplace compliance education and training tailored to professionals in small to medium-sized companies and organizations. She holds a bachelor’s and an associate degree, respectively, in Global Management & Communication from Wilberforce University, and Human Services Associate of Applied Sciences from Columbus State Community College.

ORB Consulting, LLC courses are designed to significantly influence and enhance learning outcomes, foster organizational vigor, and fuel organizational development and growth, resulting in minimizing potential workforce litigation.

Regina’s enduring combined 16-year partnership with Safex, Inc., and previous collaboration with Working Partners® serve as the cornerstone for ORB Consulting, LLC, providing a platform for her to thrive as a seasoned trainer and consultant. With a career spanning over 30 years, including extensive tenure at Nationwide Insurance, a Fortune 100 company, Regina has honed her skills in managing client relationships, performance improvement and providing employer/employee safety awareness (OSHA, Workplace Substance Abuse, Bureau of Workers Compensation Compliance Training) through instructional training and education in order to increase successful growth and work performance.

Regina is a certified Adult, Youth, and Teen Mental Health First Aid Instructor, accredited by the National Council for Behavioral Health. Furthermore, ORB Consulting, LLC collaborates with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and Mental Health America of Ohio to deliver comprehensive mental health instruction, guidance, and education. Through the University of Colorado, Department of Psychiatry, Johnson Depression Center, ORB Consulting, LLC recently expanded its offerings to include VitalCog: Suicide Prevention in the Workplace and Construction training.

Tracee L. Black-Fall’s genuine commitment to educate and advocate for individuals that live with substance use disorders and mental health conditions has led her to a new venture with Safex, Inc. and ORB Consulting, LLC. Tracee understands the disease of addiction and the effect it can have on individuals and families, thus igniting her passion to ensure companies receive education and are aware of the impact it can have on individuals and the workplace. Through support and partnerships with NAMI of Franklin County, Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence and Case Western Reserve University and former State Senator Ray Miller, she has provided leadership training to youth and families impacted by substance use and mental health conditions locally, statewide, and nationally.

Tracee graduated Cum Laude from Columbus State Community College in Applied Science. She is also a graduate of The Ohio State University John Glenn Institute for Public Service and Public Policy, Leadership Academy. Tracee is a certified Adult, Youth, and Teen Mental Health First Aid Instructor through the National Council for Mental Well Being. Additionally, she completed The Ohio State University, School of Nursing, Community Health Worker Certificate program and is a certified Family Peer Supporter. Tracee received a certification for suicide prevention in the workplace. She received an additional certificate specific to suicide prevention in the construction industry. Tracee’s work has been nationally recognized. She has received several awards, including the “Voice Award,” with national recognition for her advocacy work from the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in Los Angeles, California.

She is an active community partner in education and advocacy with the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Franklin County, Ohio Mental Health Network for School Success, and Mental Health America of Ohio. She serves on numerous boards and community collaboratives.
