OSHA requires employers to have a Lockout Tagout program if any employees perform work on equipment where the unexpected start of a machine could cause serious injury.
This workshop will train participants on the role of the LOTO program administrator, such as coordinating training, purchasing necessary LOTO equipment, and developing equipment specific procedures. Participants will learn the differences between LOTO software and Microsoft products for LOTO documentation. Key considerations regarding labeling isolation points, procedures and individual LOTO equipment will be discussed. The workshop also includes a review of engineering opportunities that can be implemented to make lockout tagout more efficient, safer and easier as well as reduce production down time.
