A great course for employees at all levels including supervisors new to safety or new hires responsible for general health and safety. The course covers OSHA requirements for various subjects that are most applicable to the industry:

  • Correctly locating OSHA requirements using a copy of the general industry regulations
  • Interpreting and applying the regulation to the work environment
  • Selecting proper PPE for different work scenarios.

Students will gain knowledge through personal experience and group exercise led by instructors to identify common solutions to general workplace hazards. Sample Safety Topics include: Electrical Safety, HAZCOM, Egress & Fire Protection, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Material Handling, Recordkeeping, Walking-Working Surfaces and Bloodborne Pathogens

This class is intended for employees in manufacturing, maintenance, and service-related industries.  

A great course for employees at all levels including supervisors, safety committee members or even new hires. The course focuses on hazard recognition and common mitigation techniques so that employees can minimize risk while performing tasks. While training does not cover OSHA regulations in detail, reference to regulations is identified in each topic section.  

 Students will learn about their rights to a safe and healthy workplace, employer responsibilities and how OSHA supports worker safety. Students will gain knowledge through personal experience and group exercise led by instructors to identify common solutions to general workplace hazards. Sample Safety Topics include: Electrical Safety, HAZCOM, Egress & Fire Protection, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Material Handling, and Walking-Working Surfaces. 

 Upon completion of the class, students will be able to: 

  • Properly inspect, wear and care for typical PPE used in manufacturing.
  • Read chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Identify common walking working surface hazards.
  • List general safety procedures around machinery and live electrical systems. 

Students will receive wallet cards within 90-days of completion of all training requirements.
