Throughout the year we’re introducing our health, safety and environmental consultants to you. Check back frequently as we add more.
For the last two years, Mackenzie Barnwell, GSP, has been all in with industrial hygiene monitoring. She loves helping clients achieve health and safety goals and is especially proud of the progress one of her manufacturing clients has made with their hearing conservation program. Mackenzie recently submitted her thesis for her Master of Science in Environmental and Industrial Hygiene from University of Cincinnati and looks forward to the in-person ceremony at the end of April. With her new-found free time, you’ll find her cheering on the The University of Findlay Oilers Women’s lacrosse team, refreshing her photography blog and reading.
Safety Consultant Shane Parson, GSP, joined our team two years ago and brings personality and a get it done attitude to the clients he supports. On a typical day, you’ll find him doing construction site visits, fall protection training or lockout tagout procedures—his favorite part of the job.
He recently had the opportunity to help a company in Arizona with lockout tagout and assisted with safety support during a large manufacturing shut down. When he’s not working, you’ll find him outside with his girlfriend and golden retriever named Goose.
Jack Webster is admired and adored by our team for his kind heartedness, wisdom and experience. As a part-time safety consultant, he does onsite construction inspections and teaches OSHA 10- and 30-hour construction safety classes. Jack’s decades of experience in the sheet metal and training industries serve him well in his “retirement job” at Safex.
He’s best known around the office for bringing in Schneider’s Bakery donuts (even when he’s working from home) and sharing his knowledge for all things Westerville.
